Meet the Team

Directors

Glyn Roberts Chairman

Glyn has been involved with Club Systems from the very early days, taking over from his father as Managing Director in 1995. In September 2010 he moved to the role of Chairman.  He still helps with programming work and advises mainly on the more complicated golf and handicapping side. 

Gareth Roberts Director

Gareth started with Club Systems in a sales and Technical role in 1989 after an early career as an aircraft engineer for BAe. He joined the board in 1998 is still involved in the field.  Many of you will meet him at GCMA events and our own annual roadshows.

Richard Peabody Managing Director

Richard began working with Glyn in the London office in 1992, he moved to Head Office 9 years later and joined the board in 2005.  In September 2010 he took over from Glyn as MD and is now responsible for the day to day running of the company.

Jenny Penson Finance Director

Jenny joined the company in 1988, initially in a handicapping advisory role. Now she is Finance Director and responsible for a turnover that has quadrupled since she joined the board.

Sales & Administration

Hilary Clamp Sales Manager

Hilary has been with Club Systems since 1998 and spent most of her early years in sales and admin. She took over as Sales Manager in 2006 and has managed the department through some of the best sales growth the company has ever seen.

Rona Richardson PA to Managing Director

Rona began working for CSI during a huge transition period for the company in 1999. She quickly learnt the ropes and mastered almost all areas of the business. She is now Richard’s Assistant and also manages HR and H&S.

Ann Tulk

Ann took on many of Hilary’s roles when she joined us in 2006. She also assists Jenny in accounts and looks after the huge task of plastic card manufacture, overseeing the production of more than 100,000 cards per year.

Karen Ganly

Almost every caller to Club Systems gets to speak to Karen, she looks after the Switchboard and Reception and has done since joining us in 2004. She honed her customer service skills at the AA and is very much the face, and voice of CSI.

Gary Riley Technical Sales

Gary joined Club Systems in 1998 as a member of the small support team. In 2006 he became Support Manager and in May 2010 moved across the office to look after Training and Installations.  As well as his vast knowledge of Golf, Handicapping and Membership, Gary is also our EPoS guru.

Programmers

Robert moved down from Cumbria to join Club Systems in 2005, His vast knowledge of the CLUB2000 Membership software is now used to assist the support staff on a regular basis.  Rob also over saw the development of the new HowDidiDo website which was successfully launched in August 2008.  More recently he has been working on HowDoiPay and the Club Websites released in March 2011.

Paul Wagstaff

Paul is our resident till expert and is responsible for the development of our highly successful MerlinTouch EPoS system which is now installed at over 550 clubs. He started with the company back in 1996 working in support and now divides his time between Sales, Programming and assisting Support.

Peter Kula

Peter joined the team in February 2011.  His first project was the new Club websites product launched earlier this year.  

Alastair Brown

Alastair joined us in November 2009 from DJB.  For over 26 years his previous company had competed against Club Systems, now he's very much on board.  His skills include handicapping and membership, but it's his web knowledge that we will be putting to most use.  Watch out for a new product due soon.

Field Staff

Simon Barratt

Simon joined Club Systems in 2001 and spent 6 years in Support eventually becoming assistant Support Manager to Gary Riley. 2 years ago he moved into Sales and became one of our North of England field representatives. He is thoroughly relishing his new role in the company and is enjoying meeting people face to face.

Alastair Kerr

Alastair started at Club Systems in 2004 during a huge time of growth after the takeover of the golf business of Smart Golf & Leisure.  He soon fitted in with the staff and of course our Irish customers, clocking up more miles than of any of our Field Staff.  A member of his local golf club, he is a very keen single figure handicapper.

Gary A Hamilton

Gary brought his vast knowledge of EPoS systems to the company from his previous job of 15 years.  He joined the company in March 2007 and settled into his new role very quickly.  Gary quickly settled in and is a now  thoroughly enjoying his busy and varied role.

Richard Frymann

Having previously been an agent for Club Systems in Scotland, Richard joined the team in December 2003.  Sadly, Richard passed away on the 10th March 2010, after a long fight against cancer.

Sean Moyes

Sean has been involved in golf software in Ireland for over 20 years.  From the conception of Player Score Input systems (PSI) to the introduction of fully integrated Touch Screen Electronic Point of Sale.  Clocking up tens of thousands of miles a year, with Ali, Sean covers the whole Island of Ireland.

Trevor Ball

Trevor joined Club Systems in 2002. Based in Basingstoke he covers South London, the West Country and as far as Land's End. Trevor has a vast knowledge of all Club Systems products and has been involved with all the installation and support of them all.  He is a keen golfer, often found on the fairways of Hampshire.

Paul Tuson

Paul has been with Club Systems since March 2008 and has been under the wing of Trevor Ball, he is now working alone covering the South, South East and East Anglia.

Support

Simon Mahony Support Desk Manager

Simon was successful in securing the role as CSiCare Support Manager in May 2010, he brings with him 15 years of Service Desk and Operational Management. Simon is committed to continuously improving the support we offer and is keen to build CSiCare into a centre of excellence.

Lee Power  Support Desk Team Leader

Lee Joined Club Systems in August 2008, from a similar IT support role, but with a huge national and international brand. Lee is also Microsoft Certified. He quickly fitted in and in just over a year was promoted to Team Leader.  Lee spends much of his time on the fairway and plans to spend more.  Keep your eye out in the Cheshire area, he gets about a bit!

Ben Lloyd

Ben joined Club Systems in July 2008 after three years at college studying IT and working part time with an in-house IT department.  He as a wide range of knowledge on all CLUB2000 Software and Hardware and has an active interest in programming.

Josh Fowlds

James Chrapkowski

James joined Club Systems in March 2008 after completing and passing all A levels. He is currently undertaking a course in Business and IT Management being funded by Club Systems. He has a broad range of knowledge on all CLUB2000 products and is now a senior member of the team.

James Fox

James joined Club Systems in November 2009 for work experience and after impressing was offered a permanent role in the team.  He moved into IT Support after attending a Microsoft IT academy in Manchester where he successfully gained Microsoft Certified status as a desk top engineer.  He has good knowledge of the CLUB2000 products and is keen to try his hand on the fairway.

Sasha Brogan

Sasha joined Club Systems in September 2010 following 2 years of study in Computer Science at the University of Manchester. As one of the newer members of the team he is currently in training to master both the CLUB2000 software and  the rules of golf.

Sean Madden

Sean joined Club Systems in February 2011 after completing a 5 month Microsoft Apprenticeship in Manchester.  'I am enjoying my time at Club Systems and still developing my knowledge of the all CSI Products and the rules of Golf in general.

Husian Ashraf

Husain joined Club Systems in May 2011 after completing a degree in Multimedia Computing at Manchester Metropolitan University. As one of the newest members of the team he is currently in training to master the Club2000 software the rules of golf.  

Anthony Griffin

Anthony joined Club Systems in June 2010, following the completion of four years study at Stockport College and had gained his Enterprise in Computing Foundation Degree (FdSc). As one of the newer members of the team, he is currently mastering the Club2000 products and the rules of golf.

Graham Wheeldon

Graham joined Club Systems in September 1999 and gained knowledge in all area’s of the software. He left in October 2009 but has now returned to the Support Department.  Graham is a keen golfer and tries to get on the course whenever possible.

Jon Platt  

Jon joined Club Systems in June 2011 from the banking industry where he gained four and a half years of experience in sales and support, he is currently studying for a qualification in maintenance and troubleshooting IT.  Jon is a keen golfer and a member of his local golf club, he also has a season ticket at Manchester City but please dont hold this against him.
